Skye Gilham is from the Blackfeet Nation in Montana and a member of the Little Shell Chippewa Tribe. She holds a B.A. in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology and Forensic Anthropology from the University of Montana, and a M.Ed. in Learning and Technology from Western Governors University, where she was recently honored as Distinguished Alumni. Skye spent 15 years working in the communication and non-profit sectors and later transitioned to a full-time role in Tribal College Education and Research at Blackfeet Community College, where she has been an adjunct instructor for nearly two decades. In addition to her work in economic development and education, Skye is actively involved in several boards and committees including a governor appointed position on a State Board, an economic development board, and co-chairs the Blackfeet Nation Institutional Review Board. Passionate about Native tourism, Skye leverages her expertise to promote the rich cultural and environmental heritage of her region. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors in her beautiful native homeland and traveling to experience other diverse cultures and landscapes.
