The NATIVE ACT
The cooperative agreement between the Office of Indian Economic Development and The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development outlines three key goals in alignment with the NATIVE Act of 2016: to enhance and integrate Native American tourism, empower Native American communities, and improve coordination and collaboration among federal tourism assets, all while expanding heritage and cultural tourism opportunities across the United States.
NCAIED will engage tribal, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities in close collaboration with the tourism team to ensure that the voices and perspectives of these communities are prioritized.
By offering technical assistance, NCAIED will gain a deeper understanding of each community’s unique needs, challenges, and strategic goals. This knowledge will enable NCAIED to deliver flexible, responsive, and tailored support that meets the specific needs of each community, empowering tribal and Native Hawaiian communities to pursue their tourism development objectives.

The Native Edge Tourism Technical Assistance Center (NETTAC)
